Wow, almost a third of the way through the year! Has it gone crazily fast or is it just me?
I hope all your 2015’s have been productive and exciting ones, with plenty accomplished and plenty more to achieve.
A good friend of mine, previously mentioned as part of a sadly defunct collaborative project, is gearing up to release the second book in her epic dystopian trilogy, The Plague Legacy.
Christine Haggerty grew up in rural Utah with three brothers, a sister, several chickens, a goat, and an outhouse. She always loved the escape of fantasy and the art of writing, and her passion for life is to craft stories of strength and survival. As a former high school language arts teacher and a black belt in karate, Christine has found a niche in combining those skills to help authors write effective fight scenes. Alongside The Plague Legacy, she writes dark fantasy fairytales in The Grimm Chronicles.
But the focus of this post is ‘Assets’, Book Two of The Plague Legacy.
The synopsis, as per the book’s Amazon listing, is as below:
“Cameron Landry is lost.
After his brother died from a rogue strain of a bio-engineered plague, Cam was dragged from his home and forced to live at the Stalls until a stranger smuggled him across the ocean. On a rusty ship with its own secrets, Cam survived a fight with a deadly enemy and learned that he is a no-code—a live carrier of the plague virus that destroyed the world.
And some think he is also the cure.
Now with blood on his hands, Cam is separated from the one person responsible to keep him alive. He is a slave in Salvation, where the nine gladiator Houses fight to rule the arena, and the laws of mutants and immunes divide his friends. Alone with his deadly secret, Cam has a promise to keep, but his only chance for redemption could cost him his life.”
If you haven’t yet experienced the literary awesomeness of Christine’s work, Book 1 of The Plague Legacy, Acquisitions, is on special at Amazon for the extraordinarily generous price of $0.97. But be quick, is it only for the next two days!
