It is November 1962. John F. Kennedy has been President of the United States for almost two years. The country’s increasing involvement in the Vietnam War, his ambitious Space Program and civil rights have been the largest stories thus far.
Such things are not the largest stories in Cody, Wyoming. The High School’s championship-winning football coach is retiring. His final match is watched by the nearly five-thousand strong city, as well as visiting dignitaries.
One of the dignitaries will start a chain of events that, while looking to increase the town’s standing, will also threaten to drag it into inescapable darkness. A group of teenagers will have to put aside their differences to find a way to stop the town becoming a black hole on the map.
